Franki’s Favorite Prime Day Deals
By Franki Hanke
Prime Day has officially started, and there are only 48 hours to shop all of the best Prime Day deals from the sale. With hundreds of items on sale, it’s overwhelming to find the items you actually want to buy, so I’m sharing my favorite items from the best Amazon Prime Day deals. These are items I already own and love, so I expect you’ll love them too.
Not a Prime Member? You can start a free, trial membership for this event! Your trial will last 30 days. After that, membership is only $14.99/month (plus tax) after that.
What is Prime Day?
Prime Day is an exclusive sales event for Amazon Prime members. The event peaks during a two-day window on Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12. It’s a bit like a summertime Black Friday. Retailers across all categories have discounts, but Amazon’s own products often see the best price cuts and lowest prices.
During the deals event, watch for lightning deals with a higher discount and shorter discount period. Follow our social media for deal alerts throughout the Prime Day sales.
Only Prime members can shop for Amazon Prime Day deals, so if you’re not already an Amazon Prime member, it’s the perfect time to start an Amazon Prime membership. Be sure to explore all the Prime membership benefits before your trial period ends.
My Favorite Prime Day Deals
Skincare Deals
Laneige Overnight Lip Mask – 30% Off
I am a lip balm collector. I didn’t set out to do this, but I cannot stand dry lips. I always have some sort of lip balm on me, but my most repurchased lip products are both on sale.
The Laneige Lip Mask is my bathroom balm because it’s in a little tub. This lip mask is ultra-rich with a tiny bit of faint color. It’s nourishing but easy to wear. I’ve never tried a thick balm I liked better.
A few of the flavors are on sale including Original Berry, Gummy Bear, Sweet Candy, and Vanilla. I don’t like the sweetness of Gummy Bear or Sweet Candy, but Original Berry and Vanilla have both graced my routine, and I liked both. If you want that pink sheen, opt for Berry.
Jack Black Lip Balm – 38% Off
I know you’re wondering now, what’s the other favorite lip balm on sale? Well, it’s the Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm. With its classic, blue packaging, you might overlook this one as “for the boys,” but I love this utilitarian, hydrating balm for daily wear.
Plus, it has a variety of scents (all of which I like) and SPF 25 for sun protection during the day. The Prime Day deal is $15 for a three-pack, which is like getting three for the price of one-and-a-half. That’s a low price!
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm – 25% Off
With Accutane-tamed previously-acne-prone skin, moisturizing without overwhelming my skin was briefly a huge struggle in my life. During the extreme dryness of Accutane, I discovered cleansing balms, the best of which is the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. While I have a few favorites at a lower price point, Elemis’s is the ultimate. It’s luxurious while quietly cleaning every shred of make-up away.
The smell, to me, is just “spa” though it’s actually a blend of Eucalyptus, Lavender, Rose, and Chamomile; while the rich texture on the skin makes cleaning your face like a massage experience.
IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Moisturizer – 32%
I’m not a loyal moisturizer shopper, but when I don’t know what to buy, I go back to IT Cosmetics’ Confidence in a Cream line. This facial moisturizer is a consistent performer with a texture balancing between rich and light so it feels hydrating on the skin, but doesn’t stay oily after it sits.
The ingredients list is packed with science-supported ingredients: hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and peptides.
AmLactin Rapid Relief Lotion – 31% Off
My goal is to always be moisturized and smooth enough I don’t embarrass myself in yoga studios. This lotion helps. AmLactin’s formula includes 12% Lactic Acid for gentle, daily exfoliation as you use it.
I primarily use this one on my upper arms and feet, but it’s gentle enough to use on your entire body for a subtle improvement to texture and appearance.
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Hands – 30% Off
If you’re like me, as soon as you’re driving in the car, your hands are dry as the Sahara and need lotion. This one is the perfect purse lotion. It has a sort of quasi-gel texture that leaves a slight protective sensation on the hands without leaving grease lines behind when you touch things.
Plus, you use so little that one bottle lasts a long time, unlike thinner lotions.
BONUS DEAL: La Roche-Posay Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream
I considered featuring the La Roche-Posay Triple Repair Cream as a body lotion, as I do have this one and trust it. It’s simple. No smell, no special effects. It’s just hydrating and easy to use, but the deal on this one is a freebie travel size with the full bottle rather than a discount, but if you’re in need, it’s still a good time to shop it.
First Aid Beauty Bump Eraser Body Scrub – 25% Off
In the same places I use the AmLactic lotion, I like to use this scrub. It really does improve the texture of Keratosis Pilaris bumps when you remember to use it regularly. I like to rub it on, let it sit for a bit so the 10% AHA is on the skin, and then rub and rinse off.
This is a brand that I rarely see on sale, so this is definitely one to grab now if you’re curious. It’s an Exclusive Prime price, so you’ll need to sign into your Prime membership or start your free trial.

IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream – 30% Off
If you take an acne-prone girl with social anxiety and throw her into the world, she will get very into the foundation. I have used a full gamut of foundations over the years, and my lasting favorite is the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream. The coverage is buildable from a light color correction to medium-full coverage.
On my skin, the texture of it is light and natural, and I find it layers well with other products. Plus, it’s SPF 50 for a two-in-one benefit when you apply.

Lifestyle Deals
Bose QuietComfort Over-Ear Headphones – 30% Off
With so many gadgets in the tech deals, it’s overwhelming, but out of all the gadgets I own, I use and enjoy my headphones and earbuds the most. Bose is my go-to brand for audio equipment. We have a Bose soundbar with our television, and I have re-purchased Bose Bluetooth headphones when needed. I own an older model of the QuietComfort, and I haven’t upgraded yet because they are going strong many years in, so I highly recommend these new models.
The sound quality is superb, the battery life is great, and the noise-canceling is a must on a loud plane. Plus, I never have connectivity issues with these connecting to my iPhone or laptop.
If you already own these noise-canceling headphones (or other QuietComfort models) you can refresh yours without replacing them with new earpads which are also on sale right now. Make sure you match your model number with the pads you pick. I’ve done this once in the past and the new pads made my headphones look as good as they still sound!
Bose QuietComfort Wireless Earbuds – 17% Off
Even with a smaller discount, I still recommend the earbuds from the Prime Day sales. Much like the headphones, I own an older model from this line and continue to wear them. I like the earbuds for daily wear including outside walks so I can easily change how tuned out I am while the headphones are for computer work, gaming, and travel.
The Bose Micro SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker is on sale too, as I already mentioned. I love this device too, and I’m using it right now while writing for my office music!
Simple Modern Water Bottle – 15% Off
While everyone was trading their Hydroflask for a Stanely cup, I sat on the sidelines drinking ice-cold water from the same old reliable water bottle I’ve owned since Christmas 2019. My water bottle is Simple Modern! I haul this thing on every road trip, workout, and all throughout my house daily. It has one dent and no other flaws four years in.
Now, I own the behemoth 64-ounce bottle that isn’t on sale, if you’d like a more travel-friendly option the 22-ounce is on sale for only $18! It doesn’t leak. It keeps ice frozen for a day, and the straw and pieces are all easy to clean.
Self-Care Deals
Tempurpedic Memory Foam Pillows – 30% to 53% Off
When we had to swap from Queen sized to King sized pillows along with a mattress upgrade, I tried a few different popular picks for pillows, but I couldn’t find one I liked more than my existing Tempurpedic memory foam one, which my husband has since stolen for himself because even five+ years since purchase, it’s still more comfortable than our graveyard of new pillows.
Tempurpedic has a few pillows in the Prime sale ranging from 30% to 53% off. If you want a bit more support, opt for the Cloud as the Symphony is softer. The Cloud is available in standard and king sizes.
Shop Standard-Medium, Standard-Soft, and King.
Vicks VapoBath Bundle – 28% Off
I have to admit, I am an achy-breaky babe. I often have a minor health complaint stemming from near-constant computer work or ignoring a cold for weeks. If you hate congestion, the Vicks VapoBath is the savior product you need on hand in the medicine cabinet.
The aromatic pay-off is intense, it might sting your eyes a little, but it opens up clogged sinuses so well. You can use it in the bath too, and the menthol will rescue you from body aches, but if you want to be stingy, just add the crystals to a bowl of hot water and breath the steam.
Dr. Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt – 36% Off
If you want a non-sick bath, Dr. Teal’s is the household name for Epsom salt. Though my actual favorite is Village Naturals because they use menthol for extra help for the muscles, but they are hard to find and more expensive right now. Dr. Teal’s is comparably great, and I use it often too.
While plain Epsom salt is great for sore bodies, the added scent experience with Dr. Teal’s is essential (to me) for actually relaxing. Stock up now while they are discounted, and then take a bath anytime your back hurts.
Voltaren Pain Gel – 30% Off
Don’t judge me for eyeing up the boring sales, but saving money on essentials is fun to me. And Voltaren is essential for someone prone to hand and wrist pain from overwork. If you have arthritis, this is the best topical pain treatment.
The best part is this deal includes an easy-open lid and mini size so you have one for your purse and one at home.
