Some vacations are for fun and exploration. Some vacations are for relaxation and rest. But all vacations are improved by a bath. Whether it’s part of a day-long spa experience or the recovery from a long day of walking, a long soak in a tub is quintessential to vacation for me.
However, Airbnb doesn’t filter the listing by bathtubs, let alone gorgeous bathtubs for those of us who’d rather use a bath bomb for our soak than sit in a chemically hot tub (though I love a chemically hot tub, too). So, for your next Texas adventure, here are the best Airbnb bathtubs in Texas.

Glass-Walled Bungalow

Named the #1 Airbnb in Austin by Architectural Digest, this two-bedroom bungalow has more going for it than just the bathtub. With sliding glass walls, the entire space is bathed in natural light. Outside, the yard houses a long, community table for hosting alongside a fire pit for when the sun sets. The entire space is thoughtfully designed and lovingly hosted by superhost Micheal (including a welcoming bottle of champagne on arrival). It’s no surprise it’s qualified for Airbnb Plus with everything from fast WiFi to a stocked kitchen to make you feel at home.

About the Bath
This Austin property actually has two bathtubs, so if you’re traveling with a friend who shares the passion for a bubble bath, there’s no taking turns required. One is a soaking tub and shower combo, but the real star of the show is the other. Decorated in wood paneling faintly reminiscent of a Japanese bathhouse, this deep, bubbling tub is sure to be the highlight of each night. Some guests made this very clear in their reviews: “The spa bath was dreamy. I would stay here again just to use the bath!”
Colorful Family Home
FOUR BEDROOMS + THREE BATHROOMS – $656/NIGHT
Originally built in 1899, this historic family home features tall, Dutch-beamed ceiling and an Egyptian globe chandelier amongst colorful, comfortable furnishings. The property features a variety of options for adding additional beds for visiting with a larger group. Though, the main bedrooms feature one king and two queen beds respectively. The ample sleeping space, large yard, and homey living room make this great for families wanting to meet up and spread out.

With three bathrooms, even those who don’t lay claim to the bathtub won’t be left out. The two bathrooms without a bathtub feature tiled walk-in showers with aromatherapy functionality. But, the best part is the jetted, Jacuzzi-style bathtub. For property within walking distance of the Cesar Chavez area, the jets are perfect for recuperating tired feet.
Large Group Getaway
FIVE BEDROOMS + THREE BATHROOMS – $1,596/NIGHT
Located in the South Congress area, this spacious property is perfect for a multi-couple or family gathering. The price tag is more substantial than other options but split between a large group the costs balanced out better. There are five bedrooms, three of which are traditional queen-sized bedrooms while the other two add additional sleeping space with additional bedding (but less privacy).
If you’re touring Austin, the outdoor amenities will help everyone recover with a six-person, outdoor hot tub by Jacuzzi and five-person dry heat sauna. Between sessions in the sauna, hang out on the porch hammock. Inside, the Restoration Hardware-Esque style is homey, yet upgraded. I won’t lie though, I’d spend the entire stay in the sauna or one of the tubs: indoor bathtub or outdoor hot tub.

The first-floor master bath is where it’s at. The spacious Jacuzzi bathtub is alongside a glass-walled, Moen Rainshower so the entire experience from soak to rinse will be luxe. Located on 20 acres of land, this Hill Country Mansion is truly an escape. Fit for hosting a large group, this Airbnb rental has space for everyone. Between the swimming pool, dry sauna, private hot tub, and fire pit there’s enough to keep everyone happy without feeling crowded. When it comes to bedtime, there’s a downstairs space with four queen beds, four bedrooms with 1-2 queen beds each, and an upstairs space with another four queen beds. Some of the sleeping spaces aren’t as luxurious as the rest of the property, but it’s for the sake of expanding your options.

The bathtub is a gorgeous corner Jacuzzi in the master bathroom. Situated beneath a large, square window, the bathtub has ample natural light for capture the true color of your bath bombs (which is important). Peek out the window to catch the panoramic Hill Country views.
Hill Country Estate
SIX BEDROOMS + FIVE AND A HALF BATHROOMS – $1,300/NIGHT
A second Spanish-style estate with white stucco walls and iconic Spanish tile roofing, this space is equally large. In a gated space with an outdoor pool and hot tub, this home is perfect for a summer escape. There are ample bedrooms and sleeping space for a large group and various options for customizing the space with additional rentals. The space stays private even with the other rentals on-site because only one party may rent at any given time.

About the Bath
The bathtub is sunk into a gorgeous, stone bathroom. Its generous size is perfect for a long soak after an afternoon of playing on the chip and putt golf course. It’s off the master bath, so you’ll have to nab dibs or make a deal to steal a soak to whoever’s claimed the one room with a king-sized bed.
Tropical Couples Cabana
ONE BEDROOM + TWO BATHROOMS – $164/NIGHT
Thirty minutes from downtown San Antonio, this sunny yellow cottage embraces the warm temperatures with a tropic theme. The centerpiece of the property is the gorgeous 40’ pool with a waterfall outside. The pool and accompanying pool cabana are shared with one other, two-person rental on the property, however, each rental has its own private hot tub on its porch. Inside, there’s a gas fire pit and lounge bed. The decor of the space is kitschy and slightly mismatched, but reviews are focused on the superior service from the hosts above everything else.
About the Bath
The tub is a generous, two-person, Roman-style tub with a shower. The space is private with curtains and wall-coverage (due to the shower). There are waterfall fixtures and a handheld shower to control the water flow. Frankly, the eye candy is lacking in this small bathroom, but compared to a typical shower-tub combo, it’s a serious upgrade.

Luxe Texan Cabin

The spot is quiet and surrounded by expansive views. This studio-style place is ideal to disconnect from the rest of the world and connect with a partner or simply a good book. Besides the bathtub, there’s a hot tub on the porch and an outdoor shower for a real connection with the open air.

About the Bath
A large, corned-fitted Whirlpool tub combined with the cabin aesthetic is a juxtaposition I’m into. The tub is spacious enough to squeeze in two if you’re feeling connected by all the surrounding nature. Otherwise, I’d open the window a bit and let the sound of not-traffic and sirens waft in alongside the fresh air.

This historic livery stable combines rustic style with modern amenities. It’s nearby to Fredericksburg Main Street for ample shopping and exploration before you recoup in the tub. The one drawback to the central location is the neighboring SPCA animal shelter, so there’s likely going to be dogs barking. For a property under $150/night, the price is fit for an affordable getaway, but the rental isn’t as amenity-rich as more expensive options.

Let’s be real though, an affordable vacation that has access to shopping and a large, corner-fitted Whirlpool tub is a rare combo. The tub is in a stone-style bathroom with a spacious soak. Some reviewers worried about hot water from the water heater though, so be sparing with emptying and refilling the tub, lest you run out of hot water.
Charming Limestone Bungalow

Close to the Main Street attractions, this studio suite is perfect for a couple or solo escape. This unit is one of a few on the same property. They share the outdoor common area with a gas fire pit and outdoor hot tub. However, inside is a private reprieve with a spacious king-bed and rustic styling.

Forget the bed though, I’ll take my naps in the tub. The generous Jacuzzi tub is coupled with a huge shower with reportedly good heat and pressure. Replicate a spa experience with a high-pressure rinse following your soak. It’s sure to soothe your muscles and soul simultaneously.

Designed like an Australian outback home, this cabin boasts a “Victorian Ranch” style. While I don’t know what that means, I do know this spot looks fit for a magazine spread. The entire property was designed by Richard Laughlin. It’s private and well-styled for an exciting, yet relaxing escape. Most notably there’s a stone outdoor shower for the summer months.

While a good bathtub is largely about the tub itself, it’s undeniable that the sheer style of this property enhances the experience. Situated under a collection of vintage mirrors, this stone-styled jetted tub is the perfect spot for a photoshoot. Or, just soak up the ample natural light from surrounding glass windows and soak, period.

Attached Nesting Suite
TWO BEDROOMS + FIVE BATHROOMS – $225/NIGHT
This private, guest suite is attached to a historic farmhouse near Round Top, Texas. It’s a quiet spot surrounded by expansive space. While secluded from the rest of the world, the space does share a wall with the bedroom of the host’s home, so that hinders the romantic atmosphere, just a bit. However, for a quiet reprieve from emails and high rises, it fits the bill. The space is cozy and thoughtfully hosted.
About the Bath
Rivaled only by the host’s dog Jasper who visits some guests, the tub is the star of the show. This free-standing, clawfoot tub is a thing of dreams. It’s an emerald green antique and sits beneath a chandelier. It’s a little Jane Austen-esque, really, but there’s no handsome estate owner included. Hot water and some bubbles will have to suffice.
Bohemian Guest House

Designed with Instagram in-mind, this space is simply gorgeous. An airy, white space intermingles with colorful, playful decor for something truly fit to be photographed. However, it’s definitely not style-over-substance with inviting, warm living spaces including a swinging seating area outside.

The combination of a massive, corner-fitted jet tub and wide, open windows is perfection for a morning bath. Picture an icy-cold lemon water in one hand during a hot-water soak while the sun slinks up into the sky. That’s exactly what this bathroom was made for. Provided bathrobes and a walk-in shower complete the spa experience.
Spacious Family Resort
FOUR BEDROOMs + TWO AND A HALF BATHROOMS – $278/NIGHT
With four bedrooms and an oversized pool, this spot is perfect for a family or friend meet-up. The outdoor pool and Jacuzzi and foosball table provide plenty of fun for everyone. The interior is homey, but not fit for your Instagram feed. Reviews mention some neighbors who are less than pleased about Airbnb, though, so outdoor hang-outs should likely be kept low-key.
About the Bath
The Whirlpool tub is the best reprieve when social batteries run low. Situated under a small window, there’s some natural light, but this tub is function-focused. It’s deep and wide for sinking down into the bubbles. Maybe if you sink deep enough you can hide-out from the family a bit longer.
Renovated Contemporary Home
THREE BEDROOMS + THREE BATHROOMS – $650/NIGHT | AIRBNB PLUS
This updated, contemporary space sits beside a spacious pool, however, the outdoor pool yard is shared with two other pool-house suites with additional guest spaces. Larger parties can rent out the other suites to have a truly private experience. Inside, the space is styled and inviting with a designer’s touch for decor. The gorgeous space is only upstaged by an incredibly helpful host, James.

About the Bath
While one bathroom has a spacious, walk-in shower the other has a deep, soaking tub. This clawfoot tub is in a clean, simple bathroom that’s uncluttered and fit for a relaxing steep.
From a bubbling Jacuzzi to a tranquil free-standing soak, a nightly bath is quintessential to vacation, for me. Pack your bath soaks and share in the ritual of some alone-time, even for those family vacations. Trust me, it makes the next day of the trip that much better.
